Crash of the Vienna Stock Exchange in Austria

The early 1870s were marked by the collapse of several banks in Europe. This crisis was followed by the crash of the Vienna Stock Exchange, which then affected central Europe and later the United States. This marked the beginning of an economic crisis, the Great Depression, which lasted until 1896.
