Iconomix is a website developed by the Swiss National Bank to help in the teaching of economics.
It offers a range of lessons and modules, along with a blog on the latest economic news. It is designed primarily for teachers (at upper secondary schools) but is accessible to anyone, and covers all the basic principles of economics, including markets and price formation, trade and the division of labour, the prisoner’s dilemma, the management of public goods, risk diversification, monetary policy and savings.
The teaching units and modules on Iconomix are available in a number of languages, including english. Answers to the tests are password-protected and teachers will need to register to obtain an access code.
