Following on from Ma voie Littéraire, Ma voie scientifique and Ma voie Pro, ONISEP, the French office for information on education and work, has created Ma Voie Économique, a site providing advice and guidance for college students considering or already studying economics-oriented subjects.

Ma voie économique offers a comprehensive catalogue of information based on the various stages of career decision-making, from choosing school subjects to getting a job:

- The “At college” section gives information about economics teaching programmes at pre-university level, including economics and society (Économique et Sociale) and management and administration sciences and technologies (Sciences et Technologies du Management et de la Gestion).

- The “Further studies” section presents study tracks with a strong economics component and covers universities, business schools and political and chartered accountancy teaching institutes, as well as the associated career opportunities.

- The “Work” section lists 150 different job types broken down by 15 business sectors.

There is a blog dedicated to economics, management and social sciences with analytical fact files providing insight into various topical matters. These fact files are written by academics and can also be used by teachers as educational tools.

Lastly, the site’s teaching section gives college teachers of economic and social sciences and economics and management access to teaching aids focusing on specific themes within their subject areas, such as “How to produce, and how much?”, “Sustainable development: a constraint or an opportunity for the company?”, etc.

There are numerous links to the ONISEP site for answers to more general practical questions that students and teachers may have concerning entrance exams, placement procedures, etc.
