The Institut d’Emission des Départements d’Outre-mer (IEDOM) and the Institut d’Emission d’Outre-mer (IEOM) presented an unprecedented exhibition on money in French overseas territories, during the “Journées du Patrimoine” (September 17th and 18th, 2011), in partnership with the Ministry in charge of overseas départements and territories.
This exhibition, which also allows a better understanding of the overseas collectivities, was organized in the framework of “2011, Year of France’s overseas territories”. 23 paintings and reproductions of banknotes were exposed, explaining 60 years of the monetary history of each region, with reference to the historical context.
Visitors wandering around the stunning Hôtel de Montmorin, have enjoyed another exhibition on innovation in overseas regions, organized by the Centre National de Documentation Pédagogique (CNDP).
